About LB Electricals

  • City & Guilds qualified

LB Electricals is run by Lewis Burton, a City & Guilds qualified domestic electrician working across Doncaster, Sheffield and South Yorkshire. It's a small team — big enough to take on a full rewire, small enough that you deal with the people doing the work, not an office.

The work is domestic: rewires, fuse board replacements, EICRs, lighting, media walls, EV chargers, fault finding and the rest. Light commercial jobs are taken on request. The reviews on this site — a full rewire, a media wall, lighting, repeat call-outs — are from real customers on our Facebook page, under their own names.

How we work

Every job starts with a look — photos for small work, a survey visit for anything substantial — and a fixed written quote follows. The price is for the agreed job; if the scope changes, the price is agreed before the work is.

Work carried out in line with applicable UK wiring regulations and good industry practice.

Catherine's review after her full rewire singled out one thing above the rest: the tidy-up. That's deliberate. Dust sheets go down, floorboards go back, waste leaves with us.

Qualifications

Lewis is City & Guilds qualified and AM2-assessed — the practical assessment an electrician passes to prove competence on the tools. The certificates behind the work:

  • C&G 2382 — 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), the current UK wiring standard
  • C&G 2391 — Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing, the qualification behind EICRs and periodic reports
  • C&G 2383 — Building Regulations for electrical work in dwellings (Part P)
  • AM2 — the industry assessment of an electrician's practical competence

The paperwork you get

Electrical work you can't see needs paperwork you can. An Electrical Installation Certificate is issued on completion for rewires, consumer unit replacements and new circuits, and you receive the EICR report after an inspection — with a plain-English explanation of anything it flags.

Keep the certificates safe: solicitors ask for them when you sell, letting agents need them on file, and they're the record that the work was tested, not just finished.

Areas we cover

Doncaster is home — Bentley, Balby, Armthorpe and Edenthorpe included — and we cover Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and the wider South Yorkshire area. Doncaster jobs are the easiest to schedule quickly, because that's where we start the day.

The quickest way to find out if we cover you is to ask: call Lewis on 07467 381272, or send the quote form and we'll come back to you.

Why LB Electricals

  • Real reviews, real names

Catherine, Steve, Eve and Emily reviewed us on Facebook under their own names — a full rewire, a media wall, lighting, repeat call-outs. Read them in full on our reviews page. That's our evidence, not a row of badges.

  • Paperwork done properly

Work carried out in line with applicable UK wiring regulations and good industry practice. An Electrical Installation Certificate is issued on completion for rewires, board changes and new circuits, and you receive the EICR report after an inspection.

  • Local, and honest about it

Based in Doncaster, covering Sheffield and South Yorkshire. We tell you where we're quick and where we're not, quotes are free, and if a job doesn't need doing we'll say so.
